Lumpy picked up a Foxtail in his right ear which led to an ear infection. Lumpy’s mom noticed him scratching at his ear and brought him in to get medical attention. The foxtail was removed from Lumpy’s ear and he was started on medication to treat the infection, however a multiple antibiotic resistant staph infection formed.
Over the course of the next three months multiple attempts were made to treat the infection. Due to the lack of response to medical treatment, Lumpy was to be scheduled to surgically remove the wound. Just prior to surgery Ceragyn treatment was started. Within a week a significant improvement could be seen in Lumpy’s condition. The ear had begun to heal over. The open, oozing wound was drying out and new skin was forming.
After two weeks only a small area of the wound is still open and hair has started regrowing over the newly formed skin. Surgery is no longer an option. Lumpy’s mom is overjoyed with the success.

When all other contenders failed to take on the reigns that bridled the wild-bronco-of-a-wound, Ceragyn stepped up and rode in the ring, taking home the belt buckle
While this endurance horse was out riding the saddle broke sending the tree of the saddle into the withers of the horse, leaving a nasty wound deep into the tissue of the horse. The rider put grade balm on the wound but the natural remedy wasn’t enough, so they brought the horse to DVM Kathy Backus seeking quick relief to their horse’s pain.
Doctor Backus treated the horse with a trusted name brand product for two weeks. She reported that the product did very little and even seemed to burn the horse. Then the wound opened up, exposing the deep tissue wound of the horse, so the search began for a better solution.
Ceragyn Wound and Skin Formula was used on day 15, and good results were apparent in as little as 3 days. The horse’s wound was healed about 15 days after beginning to treat with Ceragyn containing Purifect technology. Veterinarian Kathy Backus added that, unlike the other leading animal care product, Ceragyn did not burn the horse and showed better results much sooner leading to a quick and healthy recovery.
